Terms and Conditions – Belhus Racing Syndicates

Effective Date: April 16, 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in any racing syndicate operated by Belhus Racing Stables (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By joining one of our racing syndicates, you agree to comply with these Terms.

Syndicate Structure
Each syndicate is established to race a specific horse or horses and is governed by a formal Syndicate Agreement. Ownership of each horse is held in accordance with the Syndicate Agreement, which outlines individual share percentages, costs, and entitlements.

Eligibility

  • You must be over 18 years of age and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
  • We reserve the right to decline any application to join a syndicate at our sole discretion.


Financial Contributions

  • Participants agree to pay the advertised upfront share price and ongoing fees as outlined in the Syndicate Agreement.
  • Fees cover training, agistment, veterinary care, transport, insurance, race nominations, and administration.


Returns and Distributions

  • Any prize money or sale proceeds are distributed according to ownership shares, after deductions for outstanding costs or liabilities.
  • Participation does not guarantee any return on investment. You may lose the entirety of your outlay.


Risks and Disclaimers

  • Horse racing carries significant risk. Performance, injury, illness, or death may occur unexpectedly.
  • Belhus Racing Stables accepts no liability for financial loss or dissatisfaction arising from syndicate participation.


Management and Communication

  • Horses are managed professionally and decisions are made in the best interest of the horse and syndicate.
  • Regular updates will be provided by email and social media, but frequency may vary.


Termination

  • Syndicates may be dissolved upon retirement, sale, or death of the horse, or by majority owner agreement.
  • Upon winding up, all funds and assets will be distributed proportionally, subject to final expenses.


Responsible Participation

  • We encourage responsible participation in racing syndicates.
  • Please ensure you fully understand the risks and are financially capable of meeting all ongoing commitments.


Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Western Australia.
